We report here on the initiative of the 3 Natural Sciences teachers of the “Desfontaines” High School in the city of Melle, near Poitiers. They have combined their classes during the 2017-2018 terms in a completely innovative practical exercise. They have followed our scientific adventure and have reported on our scientific drillings realized on the sites of the National Natural Reserve of the Astrobleme of Rochechouart-Chassenon. The result is astonishing and demonstrates, if needed, that the success of modern school relies in the pleasure of “discovering” . Science and our “astronomical” topic that can be touched by the human hand, offer a wonderful tissue for developing both practical skills and imagination for both children and adults.
